The Logbook: June 2026 – Awards, Frozen Margaritas & Our Biggest Batch Yet
Well, June certainly delivered.
There was sunshine (lots of it), events, awards, a summer festival, frozen Margaritas, our biggest QVC show yet and more cocktail orders than we could have imagined when we first started Bar Buoy.
Here's what we've been up to this month.
⚓ From the Crew
Kevin has now well and truly settled into life at Bar Buoy and has spent June out and about meeting customers, visiting stockists and introducing more people to our cocktails.

Back at HQ, Toby has been working his socks off keeping up with bottled cocktail production and packing orders. As it turns out, when the sun comes out, it's cocktail hour.
Meanwhile, Tim and I have been busy steering the ship, juggling events, production runs, marketing, finances and all the usual adventures that come with running a growing business.
🌊 What's Been Happening
June has been one of our busiest months yet.
We launched our new four-pack gift boxes on QVC, with Tim taking to the stage alongside Andi Peters for our best live show ever. Hundreds of orders later, the warehouse was a very busy place indeed.
We also launched our four packs in Gloucester Services, one of the UK's most celebrated farm shops, bringing Bar Buoy to even more people looking for quality local food and drink.

Earlier in the month, we joined the brilliant Dart Farm Summer Festival. The weather was glorious, the crowds were fantastic and Tim's cocktail demonstrations drew quite an audience.
We then headed to BBC Gardeners' World Live at the NEC, teaming up with Ninja and their Slushi Max machines to serve frozen Margaritas to visitors from across the UK.
After being asked countless times how people could recreate them at home, we also put together a guide on using our 1L bottled cocktails with the Ninja Slushi Max, so you can enjoy frozen Bar Buoy cocktails in your own garden this summer.
To round off the month, our cocktails made their way to Shoreditch, where we supplied welcome drinks for 1% for the Planet gatherings at Protein Studios. Designed to inspire environmental action and bring together purpose-led businesses, it felt like the perfect event for Bar Buoy. On one of the hottest days of the year, our ice-cold cocktails certainly went down a treat.
🍸 Cocktail of the Month: Margarita
This month's spotlight has to go to our Margarita.
Earlier in June it was awarded a Bronze Medal at the IWSC Awards, one of the most respected drinks competitions in the world.

Now, bronze might not sound particularly exciting in some competitions, but the IWSC is notoriously tough. Every product is judged blind by industry experts and only genuinely outstanding drinks make the cut, so we were absolutely thrilled.
The award came during a month when demand for our Margarita was so strong that we completely sold out.
The good news? We've just canned our biggest batch ever — over 3,000 litres of Margarita.
Despite the larger production run, we're still using exactly the same ingredients, blending techniques and attention to detail we've always believed in. No shortcuts. No compromises.
In fact, we think it's the best batch we've made yet.
🧭 Bar Buoy Coastal Tip
This month's recommendation takes us to North Cornwall.

Follow the South West Coast Path from Bude to Sandymouth Beach, taking in dramatic cliffs, sweeping Atlantic views and one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the South West.
On the way back, stop at Sip & Sea Rustic Tea Garden, next to Northcott Mouth Beach, for something delicious from the menu and a well-earned Bar Buoy cocktail.
Simple pleasures are often the best ones.
Looking Ahead
Summer is officially here, and we're looking forward to plenty more events, meeting more of you out on the road and, of course, mixing plenty more cocktails.
If you've discovered Bar Buoy this month—whether at QVC, an event, a new stockist or through a recommendation from a friend—thank you for supporting our small business.
We'll be back at the end of July with another edition of The Logbook.
Until then, enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.
