Three Ways to Serve the Perfect Bar Buoy Margarita

Three Ways to Serve the Perfect Bar Buoy Margarita

When it comes to Margaritas, everyone has an opinion.

At Bar Buoy, we’ve realised something important — there isn’t just one “perfect” way to serve a Margarita. It all depends on the moment.

The good news? Our award-winning Margarita works beautifully however you choose to serve it.

Here are our three favourite ways.

🧂 The Classic – Rocks Glass (Tim’s Choice)

If you’re after the traditional Margarita experience, this is it.

Serve in a rocks glass over plenty of ice, with half a salted rim (we love a spicy salt blend for a little extra kick), and a fresh lime wedge.

It’s sharp, refreshing, and exactly what you expect a great Margarita to be.

Top tip: Always salt half the rim — it gives you the choice between salty and clean sips.

🍸 The Fancy One – Coupe Glass (Ria’s Choice)

For something a little more elevated, the coupe is the way to go.

No ice, but make sure the glass is well chilled. If you can, give the Margarita a quick shake before serving — it wakes up the liquid and softens the texture beautifully.

Garnish with a lime twist or a thin wheel.

Elegant, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink.

🥤 The No-Fuss Option – Straight from the Can (Toby’s Choice)

Sometimes, simplicity wins.

Serve your Margarita ice cold, straight from the can. No glassware required.

Perfect for the beach, the garden, the sofa — or anywhere in between.

Same award-winning Margarita, zero fuss.

It’s the Same Margarita, Just Different Moments

Every one of these serves uses the exact same Bar Buoy Margarita — our bestselling, award-winning cocktail.

The difference is simply how you choose to enjoy it.

Whether you prefer classic, fancy, or no-fuss, the most important thing is that it’s properly chilled and shared in a good moment.

However you serve it, you’re drinking the Margarita that started it all.
